The Story of Us:
Romeo's Rat Crew began
in 1997 when we, as two very best friends, decided to breed and raise rats. I had never done it before, or even owned a rat
before, but Annie had, and with her knowledge, we began a small scale rattery in Santee, California. Our very first rats were
Romeo and Juliet (as pictured), hence the name Romeo's Rat Crew. Our rattery grew to over 60 rats, all of which we named and
could very easily identify. Throughout their short little lives, we kept them close to our hearts, sharing every free moment
with them. We experienced the joys of birth and the pain of their loss for many years. Due to school and work conflicts, we
were unable to continue to breed rats for a few years, and even lost touch, but not for long. Eventually, we found time for
one another and began Romeo's Rat Crew...a New Beginning. We hope that you can find enough room to let some of these little
ratties
into your heart, because once
you go rat, you never go back!
